To Be Loved

Yuyoung has lived all alone in a rundown apartment ever since she was fourteen. One day, she stumbles upon Sian—an eight-year-old boy sitting huddled on the stairs as if he’d been abandoned.
 
Unable to turn her back on a child who mirrors her own lonely past, Yuyoung takes him in. Slowly, the two lost souls become each other’s only family in a cold world.
 
“Noona, what do I have to do to marry you?”
“Easy. When you grow up, get into Harvard at the top of your class—and graduate as valedictorian, too.”
